About Us
History
Established in 2016, Petfriender is a husband and wife team. Jolie & Aaron are passionate animal lovers from St. Louis now living in the College Area near San Diego State University with 2 dogs and 1 cat. We are very active in animal rescue and have experience working with large and small pets as well as special needs and senior animals.
Services
We are licensed and insured for your protection, offering professional pet and home care to our community. All our services are provided in your home, where your pets are safest and most comfortable!
Our basic services and rates are listed below and we are happy to work with you to customize visits to fit your needs.
Pricing
Vacation Visits
All Vacation Visits include care & love for up to 2 pets + basic housesitting services (upon request).*
Cats
$25 / day
Includes: 1 daily visit focused on meals, refreshing water & litter box
Dogs
$60 / day
Includes: 3 daily visits (morning, mid-day, & evening) focused on meals, meds, & potty breaks
Housesitting Only
$17 / day
Includes: bringing in mail and packages daily, rotating lights & taking trash/recycling to/from the curb
Overnight Visits
Overnight Visits include overnight stays to watch over your home and care for up to 2 pets.* Typical check-in is 4pm and check-out is by 11am.
Overnight Stay
$100 / night
A La Carte Visits
A La Carte Visits are tailored to your pet or home care needs.* Quickie Visits are great for a short mid-day potty break (30 min or less), while Standard Visits include extended time for play, love, & attention for pets and/or home care needs (up to 60 min).

Passing the "Sniff" Test
To ensure everyone is comfortable, we require an in-your-home complementary consultation for new clients (and their pets) to meet with the Petfriender team within 7 days of the initial visit (so we're fresh in your pet's memory), and lasting 30-60 minutes. Please plan to provide tested access keys or code during this visit. Complete, sign, and make a copy of the contract for your records before leaving behind for us to collect during our first visit.
Meet & Greet Visit
FREE!
During this visit, we will discuss your home, review where pertinent items (food, litter box, etc.) are located & your pet’s routine, answer questions and review our contract. In the event that additional meetings are necessary for your pet to feel comfortable, relevant á la carte rate(s) will apply.

We accept cash, check and Venmo. All pricing is subject to change without notice. Request our Policies for a complete list of fees & surcharges that may apply to holidays, early check-in, late check out, +2 pets and/or extended care, etc. If there is a service you don’t see listed, or, if you would like to customize your scheduled visits, ask us about our availability!
